Howdy Friends!

We are making great progress with the cafe this semester. This past friday we met with the V.P. of Student Affairs and sat around the long table on overly comfortable chairs and had a chat about our vision and potential space. There IS space, it’s just a matter of having all our eyes dotted and tees crossed, and being patient as well. The V.P. is indeed as excited for this project as we are, if not more! Very, very cool. So our next step is another meeting with more faculty who have their hand in the campus planning pie. The meeting will be after our Open House in April so they will be blown away and not hesitate one bit in housing the cafe on campus!

In the meantime The Campus Beet is cooking up heaps of great treats and events for all of you. Check out our “upcoming events” page for fun things to be apart of and “projects” page if you would like to extend a helping hand to your beet friends!
¡Hasta luego!

About The Campus Beet

The Campus Beet is a registered student organization at Western Michigan University trying to organize and develop a student-run sustainable cafe. We aim to source more local and organic food and serve more vegetarian, vegan, gluten free meals while building a space for student art, music and culture. We have weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 7PM in the Bernhard Center dining room if you would like to help.
