Upcoming Garden Workdays!

We have 2 garden workdays coming up!  All members of the community (the world community) are invited to join!

Garden Workday Friday the 13th Edition!

April 13th 12-5pm 1205 Summit Ave.

Friday is suppose to be beautiful and warm(er than the past few days). So what better way to spend it than getting your hands dirty in the Campus Beet Garden!

We will spend our time clearing out old plants from the beds, adding nutrients and compost to the beds, preparing the soil for planting, setting up poles and trellises for peas and beans, weeding, and maybe even planting a few things!!!
Wear old clothes, and bring a water bottle. We may even have an edible treat for all you volunteers!!!

Earth Day Workday!

April 22nd 12-5pm 1205 Summit Ave.
April 22nd is Earth Day, and in it’s honor we will be celebrating the earth by digging in the earth! We will have some campus beet treats for those that attend and will spend a little time planning what will happen in the garden this summer. Bring your work gloves and a little creativity and we can make sure the garden puts its best foot forward going into summer!

The garden is located near the corner of Summit and Douglas, just north of Kalamazoo College.

See you there!

About The Campus Beet

The Campus Beet is a registered student organization at Western Michigan University trying to organize and develop a student-run sustainable cafe. We aim to source more local and organic food and serve more vegetarian, vegan, gluten free meals while building a space for student art, music and culture. We have weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 7PM in the Bernhard Center dining room if you would like to help.
